Friends of the Community
Friends of the Community Mission Statement
The Friends of the Community are your neighbors who volunteer their time and talents to provide community activities where all residents of Summerfield can meet, socialize and have fun. A portion of the nominal fees charged for these events provide funds for the maintenance and upkeep of the Community Center (aka “the Barn”). These fundraisers allow the HOAs to avoid assessing residents a separate annual fee for the upkeep of this community resource.

The folks listed above, along with ten other members, form the “Friends of the Community” Committee.
As of January 1, 2020, the Friends of the Community have raised $93,000 towards the Community Center’s upkeep. We sincerely thank everyone who supports and participates in our Fund- and Friend-raising events. As you can see, your support really DOES make a difference in maintaining our beautiful Community Center!
If you’d like to participate on our committee or simply help with an event, please use the “Contact Us” form on this website, and the Webmaster will forward your information to us.
The membership of the Friends of the Ammon P. Stoltzfus Community Center organization will co-ordinate and conduct various fundraising activities for the benefit of the Community Center and its on-going operations as a facility dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the entire Summerfield community.
Any profit from such events will be placed in an account and with the agreement of a majority of the membership will be used to fund further events, provide essentials for the Community Center when deemed necessary and with approval of the Summerfield Recreation Association. 8/18/08
